Loyalist Flags and Symbols

Flags depicted (from edges of mural to centre) are: the red, white and blue Union flag of the United Kingdom, the red flag of the City of Derry, and the white and red flag of Ulster. Also shown is the shield of the City of Derry, depicting a skeleton - a reference to the Siege of Derry, 1689, when Jacobite forces laid siege to the city after the pro-Williamite citizens refused to surrender. Starvation led to many deaths during the Siege.

Location and Date
Bonds Street in the Waterside area, Derry, 1991
