Membership of the Agriculture and Rural Development Committee 1999-2002

The Agriculture and Rural Development Statutory Committee was established to "advise and assist" the Minister. The Committee also provided a system of checks and balances and allowed Assembly members to question Ministers on policy matters.It operated during those periods from November 1999 until October 2002 when devolved power in Northern Ireland was fully operational. The two most senior figures on the Committee were the chair and deputy chair.

Changes Relating to the Agriculture and Regional Development 1999-2002
¹ Mr Gardiner Kane ceased to be a member of the DUP from 11 November 2002 and from then was designated as an Independent Unionist.
² Mr Pat Doherty replaced Mr Mick Murphy as a member of the Committee from 1 July 2002. Mr Mick Murphy had replaced Mr Francie Molloy as a member of the Committee from 4 February 2002.
³ Mr John Dallat replaced Mr Denis Haughey as a member of the Committee from 24 January 2000.
