Membership of the Enterprise, Trade and Investment Committee 1999-2002

The Enterprise, Trade and Investment Committee was established to "advise and assist" the Minister of Enterprise, Trade and Investment. The Committee provided a system of checks and balances and allowed Assembly members to question Ministers on policy matters. It operated during those periods from November 1999 until October 2002 when devolved power in Northern Ireland was fully operational. The two most senior figures on the Committee were the chair and deputy chair.

Changes Relating to the Enterprise, Trade and Investment Committee 1999-2002
1 Mr Jim Wells replaced Mr Gregory Campbell as a member of the Committee from 3 October 2000.
2 Mr Eugene McMenamin replaced Mr Alex Attwood as a member of the Committee from 18 February 2002.
3 Mr Billy Armstrong replaced Mr Duncan Shipley Dalton as a member of the Committee from 24 October 2001.
4 Mrs Annie Courtney initially replaced Mr John Hume as an SDLP MLA from 29 January 2001. She later sat as an Independent MLA from April 2003.
