Introduction to Loyalist Banners

Loyalist banners (84 examples)

From a tradition dating back to the eighteenth century these Loyalist banners from the Apprentice Boys of Derry and the Orange Order lodges show a high degree of artistic skill and ability. They are mostly images painted on silk and many are embroidered.

These banners are displayed at the head of Orange marches, processions and demonstrations.
